The Apostille Convention  (Hague Convention, 1961) simplify  the procedure through which a document can be certified for legal purposes in the other contracting states of the international Convention.

Legal documents to be used internationally like Powers of Attorney, Certificates of Incorporation, Articles of Associations, Marriage, Birth Certificates and others require an Apostille Seal from the consular division of the Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to be recognized abroad .
